MARY PETERS CONFIRMED AS VIP FOR POETRY SPECTACULAR!
It has just been confirmed that sporting legend
Dame Mary Peters DBE will be one of the VIP's attending The McIntyre Poetry Awards - Poetry for All Competition in November 2008. In a week that has seen yet another sponsor backing the awards in the form of TH Jordan Ltd, Belfast Printers, feedback has already been phenomenal with local businesses, individuals and Organisations getting behind the awards.
The Primary School Children will have six categories to choose from one of them being The Sports Category themed as 'If Icould be a sporting hero for a day' this category will be judged by the Ulster Sports Trust Committee and AKR Promotions who represent Mr McIntyre commented:
'Firstly we are delighted that Dame Mary Peters will preside at the awards and hand out the winners trophies and medals in the Sports Category, how fitting in the Olympic year that Northern Ireland's most famous Olympian be present and that the judges for this category be one of the most supportive organisations in Northern Ireland of youth and sport - the Ulster Sports Trust. We are also delighted to welcome on board TH Jordan Ltd who have kindly agreed to produce all the official posters for the event, we have secured fantastic support thus far and this will all ensure that we can maximize the profits to the two charities benefitting from the awards - The NI Children's Hospice and NIICCA.'
