Hospice Flag Days in Belfast a Great Success
Two centrally organised Flag Days were recently held in Belfast City Centre to raise funds for Northern Ireland Children's Hospice and Northern Ireland Hospice Care.

The Northern Ireland Children's Hospice Flag Day on 22nd November 2007 raised £2534.96.

The Northern Ireland Hospice Care Flag Day on 13th December 2007 raised £4360.61. A further £462.00 was also raised on the day in the Lisburn Road area by South Belfast Hospice Support Group.

Both totals are up on last years amounts and Geoff Scott, Events Fundraiser for the hospice wants to thank everyone for helping raise these much needed funds. He commented "We are delighted with this year's totals and the continuing generosity and support of the people of Belfast. It was great this year to have new collecters from the sixth form of local schools including RBAI. I would especially like to thank Reverend Nigel Playfair from Rosemary Street Presbyterian Church for his kind hospitality on both Flag Days"
