WHITE COLLAR BOXING EVENT RAISES £10,500 FOR NI CHILDREN’S HOSPICE

On Sunday 30th April Translink bus drivers and engineers organised a hugely successful “White Collar Boxing” Event in the Devenish Complex. This jam packed extravanganza seen many of the bus drivers and engineers in the boxing ring competing to become NI Children’s Hospice Champions.

ASHFIELD GIRLS’ HIGH SCHOOL SPONSORED WALK RAISES £1000 FOR CHILDREN’S HOSPICE

Over 700 pupils and staff from Ashfield Girls’ High school stepped out for their annual sponsored walk on March 16, raising vital funds for Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice – the only children’s hospice in the province providing specialist palliative care to children with life-limiting and terminal illnesses. Speaking about the success of the event, Ms Jenny Donaldson, teacher at the school explained that the school was overwhelmed by the support of this event and wanted to thank the extended school family for their generosity.

RUMBLE IN THE ROADHOUSE

Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice is delighted to announce the “White Collar Boxing Event” organised by Translink Metro Bus drivers that will take place in The Devenish Complex on Sunday 30th April. Doors will open for this action packed event at 6.30pm with the first of fight taking place at 7pm. Following the last fight entertainment will be provided by DJ KC. Tickets cost £10 per person and can be purchased at the door or in advance by calling Michael on 077 1137 7328. All proceeds from the event are donated to the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice to enable them to continue providing specialist nursing care to life limited children and their families living in Northern Ireland.

GROSVENOR GRAMMAR SCHOOL ‘RUNSIE IN A ONESIE’ DAY RAISES £4457 FOR NI HOSPICE

Following in the footsteps of Northern Ireland Hospice’s fun-filled `Runsie in a onesie` campaign, with u105, Year 14 Sports Science students at Grosvenor Grammar School held a similar event throughout the Christmas period, running up a superb £4457. Each pupil was set the task of completing a two kilometre run around the grounds of the school, whilst donning eye-catching onesies, before letting off steam by participating in a selection of inflatable games.
